WCH Adelaide 2025

Excellence in Action — BLITZ LIVE Powers the Year’s Biggest Beach Volleyball Event

This month, BLITZ LIVE had the privilege of delivering the broadcast production for the FIVB Volleyball World Championship in Adelaide, Australia — the most important and spectacular beach volleyball event of the year — and our team delivered it with excellence.

More than 50 BLITZ LIVE professionals contributed to the success of this project.  Part of the crew was on-site in Adelaide, while the rest supported the operation remotely from our central production hub in Bucharest, Romania, ensuring the impeccable quality expected from a world-class broadcast.

48 teams per gender entered the competition at the 15th FIVB World Volleyball Championship in  Adelaide and over 200 hundred matches were played on the road to the big finale. This year, he men’s title was claimed by Sweden, with reigning Olympic champions David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig securing the trophy and becoming the youngest world champions in history after defeating their fellow Swedish finalists Jacob Holting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson.

On the women’s side, Latvia celebrated a historic achievement as Tina Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova captured the nation’s first-ever World Championship title — and first-ever World Championship podium in either gender — after winning against the USA’s Kristen Nuss and Taryn Brasher.

Looking forward already to the next FIVB Volleyball World Championship will take place in 2027, when the event comes to Europe with the Netherlands as host. For BLITZ LIVE team, Adelaide marks the second production of a World Championship, the first one being the one in Tlaxcala, Mexico, in 2023. Although this highly anticipated championship has come to an end, the year is far from over for BLITZ LIVE. Our team is already heading toward new challenges. Part of our crew is traveling to Guam and Tasmania for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers scheduled for November 28th. Meanwhile, another part of our team is on its way to Brazil for the Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 Itapema, the final stop of the 2025 Beach Pro Tour Events calendar.
